My colour grading process is highly collaborative, ensuring that the final look perfectly aligns with your vision and brand identity. I work closely with you throughout pre-production to establish a clear creative direction before grading even begins.
1. Initial Consultation & Vision Development – We start with an in-depth discussion about the mood, tone, and style you want to achieve. Whether you have a specific reference or need guidance, I help refine the look to match your brand or project.
2. Reference & Mood Board Creation – To ensure we’re aligned visually, I gather reference images, film stills, or colour palettes that capture the desired aesthetic. Your feedback is key in shaping the final approach.
3. Technical Considerations & Workflow Planning – I assess the footage format, lighting conditions, and dynamic range to determine the best grading techniques while maintaining quality and consistency.
4. Test Grades & Previews – Before the final grading begins, I provide test grades on sample shots, allowing you to see different options and refine the look further.
5. Final Approval & Project Preparation – Once we’ve locked in the style, I ensure all files and settings are optimised (for example proxies) for a smooth grading process, minimising revisions and ensuring an efficient workflow.

Grading
My colour grading process is highly collaborative, ensuring that the final look aligns perfectly with your creative vision. Throughout the grading phase, I keep you involved, refining the visuals to achieve the desired mood, tone, and consistency.
1. Applying the Base Grade – I start with fundamental corrections, balancing exposure, contrast, and white balance to create a neutral foundation.
2. Creative Look Development – Using our agreed-upon references, I craft the colour palette, adjusting tones, saturation, and highlights to bring the desired style to life.
3. Client Feedback & Adjustments – I share graded samples with you early in the process, allowing for real-time feedback and refinements to ensure we’re aligned.
4. Fine-Tuning & Detail Work – I refine skin tones, enhance specific elements, and ensure colour consistency across all shots for a polished, professional result.
5. Final Review & Approval – Before final delivery, I provide a preview of the completed grade for your approval, making any last tweaks to perfect the look.
6. Exporting & Delivery – The final graded footage is delivered in the required formats, optimised for broadcast, social media, or other platforms.
