Advertisement Videography Production and Editing


Pre-Production
Clear and open communication with my clients is at the heart of my pre-production process. I work closely with you every step of the way to ensure that your vision is fully understood, refined, and brought to life in the most effective way possible.
1. Initial Consultation & Idea Development – We start with an in-depth conversation about your brand, goals, and target audience. Whether you have a clear concept or need creative guidance, I take the time to understand your vision and offer ideas that align with your objectives.
2. Creative Direction & Visual Planning – Through mood boards, style references, and sample videos, I provide visual representations of how the final video will look. I encourage feedback at this stage to fine-tune the approach and ensure it matches your expectations.
3. Pre Production Documents – For this I will create a shot list, health and safety, recce and production schedule I will use this when it comes to the production phase to inform my decisions and I will show you these before we get to shooting so we can make sure everything is in order.
4. Regular Check-Ins & Feedback Sessions – Throughout the pre-production phase, I maintain open lines of communication via emails, calls, or meetings to update you on progress, address any concerns, and incorporate your feedback.
5. Pre-Shoot Finalisation – Before production begins, I conduct a final review with you, going over the shot list and creative direction (mood boards) to make sure everything fits your vision.
What I need from you
1. Locations
I will ask that you find locations for the shoot with permissions if you want your shoot to be out of studio conditions or if you would prefer a studio setting then I will handle this.
2. Talent & Styling Coordination
I will ask you to source the talent yourself and hire a stylist for the shoot if it is a modelling shoot.
By maintaining a collaborative and transparent approach, I ensure that your vision is fully realized, and you feel confident in the creative process every step of the way.

Production
During the production phase, my focus is on executing our carefully planned vision while maintaining open communication with you to ensure the best possible outcome. I work closely with you throughout the shoot, making sure every detail aligns with your expectations.
1. On-Set Collaboration & Client Involvement – I encourage you to be part of the process, whether that means reviewing shots in real-time or providing input on key creative decisions. Your feedback is valuable in ensuring the visuals match your vision.
2. Efficient & Organised Filming – With a well-structured shot list and production schedule, I ensure we stay on track while maintaining flexibility for creative adjustments. I keep you informed on progress throughout the shoot.
3. Real-Time Adjustments – If you have suggestions or ideas during filming, I remain adaptable, making necessary tweaks to framing, lighting, or direction to achieve the best results.
4. Attention to Detail & Quality Control – Every shot is carefully composed to align with the agreed-upon aesthetic. I ensure brand consistency, proper lighting, and high production value while keeping you updated on key decisions.
5. Regular Check-Ins & Playback Reviews – Throughout the shoot, I provide opportunities for you to review footage and offer feedback. This ensures we’re aligned before moving on to the next scene, reducing the need for reshoots.
6. Smooth & Professional Workflow – I maintain a professional and efficient workflow, ensuring that the production runs seamlessly while keeping communication open so you always know what’s happening.

Editing
The editing phase is where everything comes together to create a polished, compelling advertisement. I prioritise clear communication throughout the process, ensuring that your vision is reflected in the final edit while keeping you involved every step of the way.
1. Initial Rough Cut & Client Input – I begin by assembling a rough cut based on our pre-production plan. This version gives you a first look at the structure, pacing, and overall flow. I share it with you early on so you can provide feedback before we refine the details.
2. Collaborative Revisions – I value your input and provide multiple opportunities for you to review and suggest adjustments. Whether it’s refining timing, swapping shots, or adjusting the messaging, I work closely with you to fine-tune the edit.
3. Colour Grading & Visual Enhancements – Once the structure is locked in, I apply professional colour grading to ensure a visually cohesive and high-quality look. I keep you informed on stylistic choices, ensuring they align with your brand identity.
4. Sound Design & Music Selection – I enhance the video with carefully selected music, sound effects, and voiceovers (if applicable). I provide options and seek your approval to ensure the audio complements the visuals perfectly.
5. Final Review & Approval – Before final delivery, I present a polished version of the video for your final approval. If any last tweaks are needed, I ensure they are completed efficiently to meet your expectations.
6. Delivery in Multiple Formats – Once approved, I export the video in the necessary formats, ensuring it's optimised for various platforms, including social media, websites, and broadcast.
